Since the new update, the chart I’m using will periodically just disappear, and the default “no info whatsoever” chart appears. If I change the scale, the original chart returns, so not a serious problem. During a 6 hour transit today, this happened 4 times.
Are you using C-MAP charts? If so, this is a known issue that occasionally happens in some areas and is unfortunately out of our control.
No. All charts are CE (or NOAA rcvd from CE).
In that case, I’ve never heard of anything like that happening… Can you provide any more details such as: where you were when it happened? about what scale it happened at? did you see a message in the middle of the basic chart? is it possible that your charts were being updated at the time? when you changed scale to get the charts to reappear, could you change the scale back without them disappearing again?
Okay. Just happened again. Scale is 1:25000. I was close to transitioning between charts. I took pix of the screen for reference. Previously, if I switched scales (down usually) normal screen would reappear. Switching back to previous scale, everything was fine. On the most recent event, I was taking photos, and the normal screen returned after maybe 30 seconds (with no action by me). No chart updates were ever in progress. We’re about to enter Canadian waters, so I’ll make sure to note if this occurs on the Canadian charts!
