I have AIS information on one COM port set to receive only, and NMEA 0183 4800 baud data received and transmitted on a second COM port. I checked the box so that the 4800 baud COM port would ‘Repeat sentences from other ports’. It doesn’t repeat the AIS data. Is there a way to get the port to repeat the AIS data?
Only 38400 baud NMEA 0183 ports can repeat AIS data. A 4800 baud port could very easily become overwhelmed by the amount of data that can come from an AIS receiver.
