Another Feature Request

While cruising, we frequently encounter bridges and locks with strict, scheduled passage times. For example, northbound vessels in the Dismal Swamp Canal can only enter or exit at specific times (0830, 1100, 1330, and 1530).

To time these arrivals, it would be incredibly helpful if clicking a waypoint within an active route displayed both the distance to that specific waypoint and the estimated time of arrival (ETA). Currently, the only way to get this data is to break my daily route into smaller, separate segments at each lock or bridge. It would be more efficient if I didn’t have to chop up my routes to see this information.

That sounds like a good idea and I’ll add it to our feature request list!

But there are other ways to get that data without splitting your route up. The Route Monitor instrument being the easiest. It can show distance and ETA for each waypoint and if you only name the “interesting” waypoints and turn off the display of unnamed waypoints, your next lock or bridge will normally be right at the top of the list.
