I am considering a new(er) radar system with Coastal Explorer PC as main navigation. I may well end up with a standalone radar unit putting ARPA targets onto the network for CE to plot. However, I also want to evaluate Koden’s RadarPC black box as it is the only supported system for direct overlay. I spoke with Si-Tex and they pointed out that most of their standalone units support ARPA, but RadarPC does not accomplish that within the black box. Does CE process/identify targets on its own or that feature isn’t available with the integration?
