C-MAP charts show “up to date” but are not downloaded or displayed

Hello Rose Point Support,

I am having a problem with C-MAP chart licenses in Coastal Explorer 4.0 on Windows 11.

The C-MAP permits are visible in my Rose Point account and also appear in Coastal Explorer under:

Settings → Charts and Add-Ons → C-MAP MAX

When I click C-MAP MAX, the licensed charts are shown. Some chart regions have downloaded and installed correctly, and those charts are displayed in Coastal Explorer.

However, for at least one licensed chart region, Coastal Explorer does not download the chart data. When I click Install, Coastal Explorer immediately says the chart is “up to date”, but no download starts and the chart is not displayed.

Example affected chart:

C-MAP PHILIPPINES, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, E INDONESIA - CDWM:USD2

The computers currently listed in my account are:

  • DESKTOP-PS3U7DI

  • TABLET-CH5MNM93

Current issue:

Permit visible → chart listed under C-MAP MAX → Install clicked → “up to date” immediately → no download → chart not visible

Could you please check whether the C-MAP activation, device binding, or local install state for this chart is stuck, and reset or repair it if necessary?

Hi Nils,

I mentioned this in your e-mail earlier but it may have been missed. The charts you have were all purchased 10+ years ago and have since been deleted by c-map, you would need to purchase updated charts to download them again.
