CE crashing while updating charts? Runtime Error

Recently my CE program installed on a windows 11 PC in my vessel has started to crash while syncing/updating the charts, which happens each time it starts.

First I get MANY instances of an Out of Memory error, then a Runtime error - abnormal program termination. Some, but not all, charts download/install in the meantime. The PC has 16GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive.

This makes the update process long and frustrating, as CE needs to be restarted over and over. Once updates are current, it seems to operate OK.

Is there a known cause and fix for this? Should I reinstall CE? I though I would enquire before taking that step.
