Difficulty activating route

I am a long time user, and for some reason now have difficulty activating a route. This may be due to a software update.

I typically right, click on the route and choose activate, and that normally activates the route, however, it does not seem to be working now. Other ways of activating, the route are not working.

What am I missing here?

In recent versions of Coastal Explorer 4, when you right-click and choose “Activate Route,” a panel should appear at the left, where you can review the details of the route, and actually activate it. Is that panel at the left not appearing for you?

Yes. The Panel is there and I previewed the route.

However I discovered the fix: there is a dialogue box about starting a blog of this route and below that commence navigation. I had to click on the commence navigation notice.
