Does an Active Subscription allow running CE on all platforms?

Does the purchase of one subscription allow a user to install CE and download charts on all of: PC, iPad, and iPhone and use each one interchangeably? Or are the subscription licenses based on a per-device basis, or something else?

Coastal Explorer on the PC does not require a subscription for charts, but one subscription is all you need for multiple iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.

I use CE on a PC and have a subscription for the CA charts. If I decide to get CE for my iPad, can I use my CA charts on the iPad as well?

Hi Frank!

Two things:

  1. BC charts are not yet available for the mobile app. We are working on it, but we’re not there yet.
  2. Subscriptions to charts on the PC will not apply to the apps.

Can’t find the answer with a search, so I’ll try here. Can I install CE on two separate computers with one license? I want a backup on my laptop for cruising. Only one active any any time, but would probably not have internet access when the failure occurs.

Coastal Explorer on Windows can be activated on three computers at a time with one license (and it’s fine to use all three simultaneously – if you have enough hands, that is :wink:).
