Much of the text on my charts show up shaded thus very hard to read. Is there any way to adjust the fonts? I haven’t found one.

The c-map charts format is managed by the c-map company and doesn’t have a huge amount of customization unfortunetely. One option is you may have accidentally enabled ‘Highlight Objects’ under the chart option on the bottom of the main display. That will cause things to appear faded.
