Just moved Coastal Explorer to a new laptop. Lost the disk with the driver for my Rose Point GPS antenna. How can I Install this driver?
Thanks

It can be downloaded from the Rose Point Support page.

I have a Microsoft Surface with windows 11. I have rosepoint usb gps which has served us well. I downloaded the driver zip file and unzipped but the drivers won’t install. when I plug in the gps device driver says drivers are not installed. Windows can’t find the drivers. I’m not sure what i’m doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

Chances are your new Surface has an ARM (Snapdragon) processor and the drivers for our old GPS are only available for Intel.

However, it is possible that you can get drivers for your Surface that will work from the manufacturer of the USB chip used in the GPS. I can’t guarantee it will work because we don’t have any ARM-based PC’s to try it with, but here’s where you can get the “CP210x Universal Windows Driver” which does support the Arm processor according to the release notes: CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers - Silicon Labs . Be sure to get the one called “CP210x Universal Windows Driver” in the list on that page.
