MermAId Underway is a device that monitors all marine VHF channels simultaneously, records all transmissions, converts spoken words to text, translating many languages to English, and checks for keywords.
Rose Point ECS can integrate with a MermAId Underway device and provide you with a clear display of those transmissions and alerts when your vessel is hailed or a distress call has been made.
Rose Point ECS will automatically detect and connect to a MermAId Underway device that is on the same local network . Any detected devices will appear on the Electronics page and clicking on one there will show a live display of received messages and options for adjusting alerts.
There is also a MermAId instrument that you can add to any of your instrument panels. This instrument is the preferred way to monitor transmissions since you don’t need to open the browser panel and find the device. The messages are color coded based on their classification (e.g. hail, distress, etc) and clicking on a message will play the recorded audio clip.
