Program update crashes the computer

This issue is similar to a post in January 24,I know that there has been changes with regards to tide and currents and wanted to check if the remedy is the same as the earlier post regarding “a program update is available for downloading “. The program that’s in question is the current version of ECS +inland.

The latest tide data update should be the only “program” update available, so that is probably what is going on here. However, even though it’s a pretty big download, it shouldn’t cause the “program not responding” message, so I’m not certain. I would try manually installing the tide data update using the instructions for Coastal Explorer on 2026 US Tide and Current Data - Rose Point . If the tide update is the problem, that will clear things up.
