I’m having trouble with CE downloading and updating the same chart - over, and over, and over.
I update this chart, do “Install Now,” and CE then wants to install it again. Over and over.
Any ideas?
Normally this sort of thing is caused by a discrepancy between the update information in a chart’s catalog and the chart itself which can happen due to an error in the posting of updates by the chart producer, or bad timing when an update check happens during the update process on the chart server. Those problems are normally caught quickly and fixed, or in the case of timing, just resolve themselves after a few hours.
In this particular case, however, the buoys overlay cell’s edition number exceeded 1000 and that exposed a problem in CE/ECS that led to the repeated update. The USACE reset the edition number back down to a lower number to fix this as quickly as possible.
