How can I test the Speech function?

The speech feature is used for:

  • Being off course (outside the XTE threshold) with an active route
  • Arriving at a waypoint with an active route
  • Reaching the end of an active route
  • Crossing a boundary line or circle with an alarm enabled
  • A water depth outside the thresholds (requires a depth sounder)
  • Warning of potential collisions with other vessels based on CPA/TCPA thresholds (requires an AIS)
