Im trying to transfer my marks file from my computer to my costal explorer app. I’ve tried the route from a flashdrive also saving it to Google drive and importing it that way. I click import, click the file and nothing changes on my phone. Maybe im doing something wrong?
What file format are you using to save the route? The app is having problems importing some GPX files, but Voyage Plan Documents (.NOB files) should work just fine.
If you really need to import a GPX file, you might try signing into coastalexplorer.net and importing it from there. If it can import the file, the route should show up in the app.
I was trying to import a .nob file but everytime i clicked the file nothing changed unfortunately. Also minor misunderstanding im not trying to import a route. Just my marks
It sounds like you are following the right steps for one way to transfer marks to the app. However, the fact that “nothing” is happening when you import the file is very odd..normally you would either get a new layer or some sort of error message.
Have you tried using a cloud-synchronized layer instead? That would not only get your marks onto your phone, but would also keep them in sync on both your phone and PC if you make any changes.
