Weird State Reversion Bug when Chart Planning

I’m drawing bearing lines and points on a chart to do typical navigation problems, but I’m running into weird behavior. If I start a bearing line by clicking its start point and then don’t finish by clicking its end point in time, it will revert causing the start to disappear and making me start over. Even after successfully click both the start and end and getting the bearing line I want, occasionally, it will revert and the line will disappear and I have to draw it again. The same behavior occurs no matter what I do with the drawing tools. I’ll make a point and later edit it to move it to a new lat/lon, only to see that it’s reverted to its previous position. Dragging one end of a bearing line to get the angle exactly where I want is subject to the same time limit and if I’m not quick enough it either reverts to its existing position or sometimes the entire bearing line just disappears. I turned off autosave thinking that may have something to do with it even though that’s every minute and this behavior seems to be every few seconds. Any ideas?

We just released a new update yesterday. Please install that when your Coastal Explorer notifies you to either download or install it after/during a Sync.

After it’s finished installing, does the problem still occur?

Very interested to learn if Steven’s suggestion solved the problem. This sounds to me very much like what I experienced earlier this year. Are you using the Layers feature or using CE in, what I think is Voyage Plan mode? By this I mean that your nav details are only maintained resident on your system and not synched to the cloud for use on other devices. I found that using Layers was impossible. I could not even edit a name and get it to stick as the update process was exceedingly slow. And this was not an issue with Internet connections as it is supposed to work when you do not have an Internet connection and we have Starlink which always shows remarkable connection speed. I ulitmately gave up on using Layers in the intended fashion and reverted to the local resident mode. This cruising season I’ve operated in a blended fashion storing nav objects in Layers but operating from the local drive and copy/paste items from local to the appropriate Layer periodically.
