Clearly I’ve forgotten how to do something.
This year each time I enter CE I have to go to “charts here” and re-check some of the charts that are not displaying. They then work fine until I close and reopen the program and need to check them again.
What you are experiencing is a result of NOAA’s rapid progress towards ending the production of raster charts by the end of this year. As they near that point, they have been cancelling most of the raster charts, with more cancelled nearly every week.
Now is a good time to become friendly with vector charts for US territorial waters:
Hi, I’m having this issue and I’m only displaying vector charts. For example we are approaching Portland, ME. If I center on the ship channel entrance, buoys 3 and 4, and click charts here I get

✓ US3EC10M: …
✓ US2EC04M: …
The (1:20,000) chart does not display unless I select it. Quilting should display it but doesn’t. I’ve only noticed this problem recently as we’ve moved north up the US East coast. It started somewhere around New England.
Is there a simple fix? Quilting used to just work and we were here in 2023 and it worked.
